EZTow driverless tow tractor

TLD Robotics (formerly TractEasy)

Topic: Recruiting

The EZTow is an electric driverless tow tractor from TLD Robotics, formerly TractEasy. Japan Airlines uses it for Level 4 autonomous cargo container transport at Tokyo Haneda and Narita since December 2025 and at Fukuoka since October 26, 2026, where it runs a route of about 1.7 km. JAL lists it at 3.20 m long and 4.07 tonnes, with a maximum towing capacity of 14.0 tonnes. TractEasy says its EZFleet system lets one operator oversee a fleet of driverless vehicles with real-time tracking, route optimization and mission scheduling.

Why it can make you money

JAL says it is automating airside transport to offset ground handling labor shortages. A tractor that runs a fixed cargo route on its own frees ramp staff for loading and safety-critical work, and one operator can supervise several vehicles.
