EAC 212a autonomous mobile robot (Jungheinrich)
Jungheinrich officially started selling its EAC 212a autonomous mobile robot on November 2, Warehouse and Logistics News reported. Introduced at the LogiMAT 2026 trade show, it was built for automated pallet transport and uses a built-in lift to connect different parts of the material flow: goods receipt, storage, production and dispatch. It links floor storage spots, lanes, block storage, conveyors, automated storage and retrieval systems, and production and packaging equipment. Jungheinrich's product page lists a capacity of up to 1,200 kg and a lift range of 250 to 1,200 mm. The company says interest before the launch exceeded its expectations, and it stresses easy integration into existing operations. No prices or customer names were given.
Why it can make you money
In a parts store or MRO receiving dock, staff spend hours driving pallets from the dock to storage and from storage to the shop. A robot that does those repeat runs frees a forklift driver for the loads that need judgment, such as engines or oversize crates. Measure how many pallet moves you make per shift and how far they travel before asking for a quote, because short, repeated runs are where these robots pay back.
